The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region 9 reports that it is now accepting applications for its OFW Dependent Scholarship Program for the school year 2012-2013.
The program offers financial assistance of PhP 20,000 per school year. It also has an included health and insurance coverage of Php100,000 per scholar. 64 slots are available.
Those qualified to apply are:
1. A dependent of an OFW who is an active member of OWWA.
2. A high school graduate or a graduating high school student or a student already enrolled in college.
Interested applicants can personally visit or call the OWWA 9 office at the 4th floor BGIDC Corporate Center (PhilHealth Bldg.), Gov. Lim Ave., Zamboanga City with telephone numbers (062) 991-2785 & 991-7764 or at the DOLE Provincial offices in Region 9.
