License of 2 recruitment agencies cancelled

Due to excessive collection of placement fees, two recuitment agencies' licenses were ordered cancelled last week by the POEA.  It concerns violations of job orders in Taiwan.
According to the POEA website, the two violated the following POEA rules:

1. "POEA Governing Board Resolution No. 6, issued in 2006, however, strictly prohibits Philippine recruitment agencies from collecting any placement fee from applicants for household service worker positions, including caregivers."  This is for the job of a caretaker in Taiwan.

2. "Section 3 of Rule V, Part 2 of the POEA Rules and Regulations prescribes a
placement fee ceiling equivalent to a hired worker’s one month salary."  This one pertains to a food processor job, also in Taiwan.

These two recruitment agencies are Lucky International Placement Services Inc. and Tai-Fil Manpower Services Inc.

More details can be read from this POEA pdf link.
